PREFACE

This booklet contains selected inspirational messages and excerpts from lectures which Sri Chinmoy has offered to the United Nations community during the last twenty years. Sri Chinmoy was invited to give the first of his many talks on the spiritual role of the United Nations in November of 1968. Since April of 1970, he has conducted twice-weekly peace meditations for delegates and staff as-leader of the Peace Meditation Association. The members of the Peace Meditation Association offer their deepest gratitude to Sri Chinmoy for his most exemplary and untiring self-offering to humanity through his dedicated service to the United Nations community. May.the colossal hope for peace and humanity’s progress, as expressed by the vision-luminary in Sri Chinmoy, become a fruitful promise-reality.
