Dear Sri Chinmoy,
For thousands of years many diver~e cultures and races have lived together harmoniously beneath the majestic peaks of the Andes in my beloved Peru. Nowhere else on earth do such an enormous variety of climates. landscapes and ecosystems blend together to create such striking beauty. In the same way, the Peruvian people have learned to live together In harmony, bringing to the fore the finest in each of our many ethnic groups for the good of the whole.
Towards these same goats of human togetherness and world peace, you have dedicated your life and made invaluable contributions. Through the global Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run which you Initiated while I was serving as Secretary-General of the United Nations, as well as through the Sri Chinmoy Peace-Blossoms family in which 123 nations including Peru are now participating and also with your international Peace Concert series you are helping to foster a new and vibrant culture of peace which our planet so urgently and critically requires.
May you continue to serve humanity’s upward and forward flight towards world oneness and peace.
You have touched the heart of the world and the heart of Peru. You deserve The Heart of Peru Award.
