Mother Teresa on June 3 met with her good friend, Sri Chinmoy.
Sri Chinmoy presented the 86-year-old Nobel Peace Laureate with a large glass sculpture carved with his ‘Peace birds,’ a tribute he entitled :
“Mother Teresa: Humanity’s Flower-Heart, Divinity’s Fragrance-Soul.”
The Indian teacher visited the Catholic nun again on June 17, presenting her with a book he had written about her also titled: Mother Teresa: Humanity’s Flower-Heart, Divinity’s Fragrance-Soul
During this meeting, Members of the Peace Meditation Group at the UN joined other of Sri Chinmoy’s students and performed several songs their teacher had written about Mother Teresa and about the Christ.
Both meetings took place at Mother Teresa’s Missionaries of Charity House in the Bronx
